Our Story

Independently Owned

Live Edge Construction

Locally and Sustainably Sourced

We started woodworking in 2023 with a beautiful 8 foot slab of spalted maple that became our dining room table. Our projects then grew to include red maple and cottonwood standing desks, yellow birch side tables, and maple ambrosia benches. As the requests from friends and family piled up, we realized we could market our newfound passion.

Thistle and Fig began with bourbon barrel tables sourced from distillers throughout Kentucky and has grown to include bespoke desks, lazy Susans, serving trays, and dining tables. Our mission is to preserve and showcase the natural beauty of our locally sourced wood, and hopefully bring our customers and ourselves closer to nature.
